Chef Nenes began his career with The Art Institute of Houston in 1992 when he was recruited to initiate the Culinary Arts program. In 1993 there were three culinary programs; today EDMC has twenty culinary programs with over six thousand students. In 2003, Chef Nenes became the Assistant Vice President – Culinary Arts General Manager.
Chef Nenes earned an MBA from Jones International University, B.S.B.A. degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Thomas Edison State College and a Diplôme Culinaire from the New England Culinary Institute. Michael has been certified by the American Culinary Federation as a Certified Executive Chef and a Certified Culinary Educator since 1991.
Prior to joining The Art Institute of Houston, Chef Nenes had owned and operated successful restaurants in Houston, Texas, Fairbanks, Alaska and Vail, Colorado.
