GALA FUNDRAISER FOR UNLV’S CULINARY ARTS PROGRAM

Las Vegas, NV, November 9, 2005:  The International Food & Beverage Forum, a will host a spectacular gala fundraiser for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ Food & Beverage Department on Saturday, November 19 at the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa.  Guests will enjoy a six course gourmet dinner prepared by visiting Master Chefs and chefs from the resort, accompanied by exceptional wines from around the world.  Proceeds from the silent auction items, valued at over $110,000, will go to the school.  Bidders will have the opportunity to purchase some unforgettable Stays in luxury hotels and dininging experiences in such places as China, London, Rio de Janeiro, Russia and South Africa.  A musical program presented by professional operatic and cuban musicians will round off this gala evening.  The cost is $225 per person.

During the evening, leaders in the food and beverage industry Le Cordon Bleu® President André Cointreau and world-renowned winemaker/consultant Zelma Long will be inducted into the Forum’s Hall of Fame. In addition, Camellia Panjabi, restaurant developer, cookbook author, and ambassador for Indian cuisine worldwide, will receive the 2005 International Food & Beverage Forum Restaurateur of the Year Award.

The International Food & Beverage Forum (www.foodandbeverageforum.com) was founded in 1993 as a global association of food and beverage industry representatives.  Its purpose is to provide a global think tank for the industry and serve as mentors in education for young food and beverage professionals.
