GOURMET CHEFS FUNDRAISER FOR KATRINA VICTIMS
LAS VEGAS, NOVEMBER 16, 2005
Opportunity for gourmet enthusiasts to enjoy great food and make a contribution

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, October 19, 2005:  World Gourmet Summit (WGS) LLC and Master Chefs of the International Food & Beverage Forum (IF&BF) will join with world-renowned Louisianna chef John D. Folse from Lafitte’s Landing Restaurants, New Orleans, and Executive Chef Carlos H. Guia from Commander’s Palace Las Vegas, to host a charity gourmet dinner for victims of Hurricane Katrina in Las Vegas.  The dinner will take place on Wednesday, November 16th at the Green Valley Ranch & Spa during the second annual World Gourmet Summit there.

Diners will mingle with gourmet chefs and food & wine afficianados from around the world, while making a contribution to this important cause.  The 6- course meal will be created by certified Master Chefs Raimund Hofmeister, director of the Culinary Institute of Las Vegas and Chef Walter Leible, director, Culinary Arts Institute of Phoenix, Michael Nenes, AVP Culinary Arts at the National Art Institute, Brenda Hitchins, Corporate Executive Pastry Chef at Station Casinos, Carlos H Guia and John D Folse.

Fifty percent of each $150 dinner ticket will go to the Katrina Victims Fund, along with a $10,000 donation from The International Food & Beverage Forum.  Tickets are limited to 150 seats and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

BACKGROUND

The World Gourmet Summit Las Vegas is an event of the World Gourmet Club and the International Food & Beverage Forum in association with the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, The Masters of Australian Food and Wine and the Grand Gourmet Festival Dubai.  The five day program includes Master Classes on cuisine, wine, cognac, Madeira, port and single malt beverages; gourmet dinners, and a two-day international wine exhibition, with over 80 wineries presenting in excess of 300 wines.   It provides gourmet enthusiasts a chance to hear about trends in the global gourmet food and wine market from top food & beverage executives; learn from internationally renowned chefs and winemakers, and mingle with fellow devotees from around the world.   The festival will be held at Las Vegas' newest AAA Four Diamond luxury resort, the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa.  The 2005 event will be from November 15-20.  For package information and reservations visit www.worldgourmetsummitlasvegas.com or call 866-388-3267
