NEVADA LAS VEGAS

Opportunity for gourmet enthusiasts to enjoy great food and make a contribution

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, October 31, 2005:  World Gourmet Summit (WGS) LLC and Master Chefs of the International Food & Beverage Forum (IF&BF) will join with world-renowned Chef Martin Yan, from the Television show “Yan can cook” and Corporate Executive Chef Hemant Oberoi from Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, to host a gourmet dinner for the benefit of hospitality students of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.  The dinner will take place on Saturday, November 19th at the Green Valley Ranch & Spa during the second annual World Gourmet Summit there.

Diners will mingle with gourmet chefs and food & wine afficianados from around the world, while making a contribution to this important cause.  The 6- course meal will be created by certified Master Chefs Raimund Hofmeister, director of the Culinary Institute of Las Vegas; Corporate Pastry Chef Anil Rohera, Albert Uster Imports and John Bray, Executive Chef at the Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa and his team.

Before Dinner guests can place their bets in a silent auction for the Benefits of The International Food & Beverage Forum’s Endowment Fund supporting scholarships for young Hospitality students. Auction items with a value for over US $ 110,000 will be for sale.
Before the Main course the newly elected 2005 inductees of the International Food & Beverage Hall of Fame and the 2005 Restaurateur of the year will receive their trophies.
After the Main Course a special performance of Duets from famous Operas and Musicals will take place. This year’s program will be selected by Professor Carlos Montane, Indiana School of Music and former Tenor at the Metropolitan Opera New York.

BACKGROUND

The World Gourmet Summit Las Vegas is an event of the World Gourmet Club and the International Food & Beverage Forum in association with the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, The Masters of Australian Food and Wine and the Grand Gourmet Festival Dubai.  The five day program includes Master Classes on cuisine, wine, cognac, Madeira, port and single malt beverages; gourmet dinners, and a two-day international wine exhibition, with over 50 wineries presenting in excess of 200 wines.   It provides gourmet enthusiasts a chance to hear about trends in the global gourmet food and wine market from top food & beverage executives; learn from internationally renowned chefs and winemakers, and mingle with fellow devotees from around the world.   The festival will be held at Las Vegas' newest AAA Four Diamond luxury resort, the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa.  The 2005 event will be from November 15-20.  For package information and reservations visit www.worldgourmetsummitlasvegas.com or call 866-388-3267
