LAS VEGAS FOOD & WINE ENTHUSIASTS CAN LEARN FROM THE MASTERS AT WORLD GOURMET SUMMIT LAS VEGAS,
NOVEMBER 15-20, 2005

Las Vegas, NV, November 7, 2005:  Las Vegas food and wine enthusiasts can meet and learn from internationally renowned food and beverage personalities during this year’s World Gourmet Summit Las Vegas (WGS) during its five day gourmet experience to be held at the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa, November 15-20.  Master Classes, gourmet dinners and gala events are on the agenda.

Celebrity chef Martin Yan will be among the star-studded line up, along with top winemaker Zelma Long; Bartholomew Broadbent, world-renowned authority on Port and Madeira; Champagne consultant Jean-Louis Carbonnier, Indian writer and cookbook author Jiggs Kalra and other experts in their fields.

Las Vegas residents can attend Master Classes, enjoy gourmet dinners prepared by guest chefs, and attend gala events, benefitting the University of Las Vegas’ culinary arts program and the victims of Hurricane Katrina.  On Saturday and Sunday, a two-day international wine exhibition, presenting in excess of 200 wines, will be open to the public (over 21). 

Wine Master Classes will include tastings and discussion of wines from Australia, Austria, New Zealand, North America, South Africa and Spain.   Culinary Master Classes will be conducted by chefs from India, Hong Kong, North America and Shanghai, and will focus on Indian, Chinese, Thai and American cuisine. 

WGS Las Vegas is an event of the World Gourmet Club and the International Food & Beverage Forum in association with the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, The Masters of Australian Food and Wine and the Grand Gourmet Festival Dubai.  Sponsors include Alaska Airlines, Broadbent Selections, Fiji Waters, Taj Hotels & Resorts, The Art Institute of America, Villeroy & Boch and WOW Traveler.
