LAS VEGAS, NOVEMBER 15-20, 2005

Opportunity for gourmet enthusiasts to learn from Masters of the Art

Seattle, Washington, USA, July 23, 2005: Celebrity Chef Martin Yan, Corporate Executive Chef of the Taj Hotels & Resorts Hemant Oberoi, Bartholomew Broadbent, world-renowned authority on Port and Madeira, and Indian writer and cookbook author Jiggs Kalra are among the star line up of master chefs, winemakers and other experts in the field who will present at this year’s World Gourmet Summit (WGS) in Las Vegas, November 15-20. In its second year, this food and beverage extravaganza is based on the highly successful WGS events held annually in St. Moritz, Switzerland and in Singapore.

WGS Las Vegas is an event of the World Gourmet Club and the International Food & Beverage Forum in association with the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, The Masters of Australian Food and Wine and the Grand Gourmet Festival Dubai.

It provides gourmet enthusiasts a chance to hear about trendsin the global gourmet food and wine market fromtop food & beverage executives; learn from internationally renowned chefs and winemakers, and mingle with fellow devotees from around the world. The festival will be held at Las Vegas' newest AAA Four Diamond luxury resort, the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa.

The five day program includes Master Classes on cuisine, wine, cognac, Madeira, port and single malt beverages; gourmet dinners, and a two-day international wine exhibition, with over 80 wineries presenting in excess of 300 wines. The exhibition, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, will also be open to the general public at a cost of $45 per person. A variety of packages are available, ranging from a weekend experience for $990 per person incl. tax and service (in double occupancy room) to US $ 1,990 for an all-inclusive 5-nights package.

In addition to Martin Yan and Jiggs Kalra, attendees at the Culinary Master Classes will hear from master chefs from Taj Hotels & Resorts, India, lead by their corporate chef Hemant Oberoi, Chinese master chefs from the award-winning Elite Concept Restaurants in Hong Kong & Shanghai, culinary directors Raimund Hofmeister of the Art Institute Las Vegas and Walter Leible from the Art Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, and other top name chefs.

Wine Master Classes will include a presentation of award-winning wines from South Africa by Jeremy Wilkinson, president of Great Wines International and host of Wilko Wine Reports; Stefan Tscheppe, co-owner of the Weingut Eduard & Stefan Tscheppe, Leutschach, who will review eight Austrian wines; Jorge Padilla on wines from six Spanish vineyards, and Geoff Schrappel, co-owner of the Bethany Wines, Barossa, Australia, who will discuss eight Australian wines. In addition, wines from New Zealand and North America will be showcased.

The wine exhibition will feature wines from Argentina (Bodegas Weinert, Fundacion de Mendoza); Australia (Bethany Wines); Austria (Polz, Vin’O Tscheppe); California (Quintessa); Chile (Aresti, Tamaya); France (Champagne Delbeck, Chateau Lestapis, Chateau Roubaud, Mas de Daumas Gassac); Lebanon (Chateau Musar); Mexico (Bodegas Santo Tomas, Chateau Camou); New Zealand (Spy Valley); Oregon (Oak Knoll Winery); Portugal (A.A. Ferreira, Broadbent Port & Madeira, Quinta da Crasto); South Africa (Eikendahl, Landskroon, Lanzerac, Montestell, Van Loveren, Vergenoegd); Spain (Alabanza Cellars, 1877 Cellars, Palacio de Villachica Cellars, Valdevinas Alberto y Benito Cellars, Wilmot Montalvo Cellars), and many more.

The World Gourmet Summit Food & Beverage Forum will present a panel of international speakers, including Camilla Panjabi, Masala World, Mumbai, India; Paul Hsu, Elite Concepts, Hong Kong; Claude Peiffer, Luxembourg; Christophe Marziale, Johannesburg, South Africa and Gerfried Schipper, Sao Paolo, Brazil, who will review global food and beverage trends.
